Boston’s Miss Bones closes out its latest LP Grey Lady with the jangly pop winner “Basketball Shorts.” Visions of ill-fitting gym shorts are enough to give you nightmares, and the opening line of the song confirms that the ensuing narrative will share its share of bumps on life’s road: “I pissed my shorts on the basketball courts at the center.”
But hey, life is long, and the machinations of love and lust can smooth out a lot of wrinkles. You might want to retire those shorts though. Shades of You Can Be A Wesley.
