Meadowgoat: “Milkweed (Butterfly & Bee)”
Written By Michael Gutierrez

Meadowgoat hits like a proggier Liturgy on “Milkweed (Butterfly & Bee).” It must be the tapestry and Ye Olde aesthetic, but their sound feels like a prog-metal band started by the Knights of the Round Table. Most of the tracks off the album Goat Meadow take a minute to warm up. But our highlighted track is a full sprint from the start. Heavy doom guitar ambiance and burbling, gurgling synths stand out as a palate cleanser in comparison to the rest of the album.
