Madeline Kenney: “The Bridge”

See this content in the original post

We’re all Neil Young fans. Well, maybe not all of us. Some people just can’t get past the shrill tendencies of his singing voice. But it’s the kind of strange singing voice that grows on you, and that you start to expect, and demand. Like J Mascis groanery. Madeline Kenney has a much sweeter and more immediately approachable voice. She doesn’t try to mimic the peculiarities of Neil Young’s warble with her cover of his song “The Bridge.” That’s smart. This song was recorded as a fundraiser for the Good Samaritan Family Resource Center. Find out more here.
