Keeley Forsyth: “Horse”
Philip Glass vocal patterning propels moody synthscapes to create church music for the insane. Which is not a strike against it. You just got to know what you’re getting into. A “bleak and foreboding landscape” for sure. The UK artist Keeley Forsyth more or less captures the atmosphere of American culture as we head into another US Presidential Election, featuring two elderly stooges battling it out to be the flunky concierge at the front desk of our corporate class oligarchy. Dreary stuff. Forsyth provides a great soundtrack for shuffling along to the electric chair, or maybe just a steep cliff. You can ride a “Horse” right off it.
