June McDoom: “The City”
Feathery neu-Joni chillfolk. Add strings. Add lettuce. Add tomato. Add pickles. June McDoom completes the perfect burger on this gem of an EP With Strings. The nice thing about having a successful record like her previous self-titled EP is that people want you to follow it up. Maybe they’ll even pay you some money too! Probably not too much in this music economy. But McDoom knows where to dig up the helping hands she needs to double down on the last EP with a more expansive, symphonic vision. Shout out to the string & harp arrangements by Sammy Weissburg.
