Grass Is Green: “Greenville”

Tempo and attack changes all over the place. I mean, we’re not talking Charles Wourinen, but Grass Is Green keeps you on your toes with our highlighted track “Greenville.” A rollicking alt roller coaster that switches gears a surprising number of times for a song with a runtime of 3:11. I was drawn back to this song after hearing about all that flooding in North Carolina. Obviously, this song, off the full-length Yeddo, pre-dates all the Hurricane Helene fallout by more than a decade. But sometimes places give off a certain energy, and songs can have a premonitory read on that energy. Doesn’t seem to be the case here. Via Exploding In Sounds.
