Circus Trees: “Trap Door”

It’s a trap! Door! Like in Chutes & Ladders when you’d be one or two levels away from victory, then you’d land on a chute, and tumble all the way back to the start.

There’s no board game references in our highlighted track “Trap Door” by Circus Trees, but the song does come with a video. Looks like they dressed up their practice space in the basement like a heart-shaped box. A fine ambience for a sadcore rocker that plays the loud, quiet, loud card.

The trio out of Marlborough is playing Somergloom, by the way, on the first day of the festival, 8/23-24. Guaranteed to be the gloomiest ticket of the summer!
