Bent: “FIVE”

Did you catch this band at RPM Fest? Greenfield’s Bent didn’t have to wander far to land in the fair fairgrounds of the Millers Falls Rod & Gun Club. The scene was full of heavy music like the skull-uncorking thrash metal of Bent’s latest LP Imaginal. Buckle up, this one will blow through your earholes like a wasp shot out of a cannon.

Our highlighted track “FIVE” takes a different tack, exploring deep moods and fogbanks of ambient sounds. Is that the sound of the sun breaking through the storm clouds, a halcyon moment after a weather catastrophe, or just a post rock blunderbuss in homage to bands like Caspian? All of the above, why not?
