Art School Girlfriend: “I Would Die 4 U”

An icy ambient beatscape. Art School Girlfriend breaks out the Princean “4 U” to express how much she’s willing to metaphorically, proverbially, symbolically die. Hard to do with the standard keyboard, but it would be baller to replace the “I” with one of those Egyptian hieroglyph eyeball symbols. You know, the eye of Horus? I’m not finding that anywhere in the emoji banks, but Egyptian culture has lasted thousands of years with many ups and downs. Who knows? Maybe it will rise again and we’ll all be writing the first-person singular with a nod to the everlasting god of the sun and the sky. “I Would Die 4 U” is a standalone single, but the followers of Horus never walk alone.
