“In This City” off A Place of Hurt by The Bedroom Witch

Breathy, trancy night rhythms abound of The Bedroom Witch’s “In This City”. A sense of paranoia lurks as well, or rather a fear that pain and violence are always around the next corner.

Physical violence? Emotional? Psychological? It’s all wrapped up into one ominous package while the cool synth notes and clubby beats gives the general air of anxiety a strange allure. Not a great advertisement for Oakland, but the tune slaps.
