Roulette

Pure synth sugar pop, but the Viennese vibes on Conny Frischauf’s Die Drift cuts the sweet with ein bisschen Salz. This is music for riding through Times Square in a top-down convertible seated next to an animated cartoon character.

The extended bleep-bloop outro and sample party on our highlighted track “Roulette” suggests an affinity for pure electronica noise, but the superstructure of the song is too tightly organized to give way to messy exhibitionism. Shades of Kraftwerk’s Radio-Activity run through an 80s pop meatgrinder, spackled with some glitchcore.
