Pause Tape
Save the starpower remixes on the Bookhead EP for later and skip straight to the real thing: MF DOOM (RIP).
But what is real with MF DOOM, who is the masked man behind the mask? An artist that so often teams up with others that collaboration is the very air he breathes. In principle, it's business as usual on the Bookhead EP, a release cobbled together out of original tracks and farmed out remixes.
Granted, the remixes are handled by some venerable mavens of music, from Thom Yorke to Beck and more. But the conceptual integuments binding the production together feel under more stress than usual.
Keep it simple and enjoy a pure slice of MF DOOM rhyming on our highlighted track "Pause Tape." Don't mess (too much) with the best.
