Our highlighted track “Hypocrites” is a demoBoston’s The Color and Sound is a work in progress. Literally. Our highlighted track “Hypocrites” is a demo. It’s a bright essay into pop punk that reflects on a love that was not meant to be and, of course, hypocrites.
The melodies are tight, the chords brash, the percussion taut. The final lines capture the basic mood of angsty teenage years: “Sick to death / Of all you hypocrites.” It’s the sweet, youthful moment of moral clarity before the burning eye of critical judgment turns its withering gaze inwards in ripe old age. Enjoy while it lasts!
