A Second Trader Joe’s Seeks Union

A second Trader Joe’s location – this time in Minneapolis – is campaigning for a union with Trader Joe’s Unite. Details are still emerging. More Perfect Union tweeted out the news on 6/28.

Then followed up on 6/30.

The employees at the Minneapolis location will need to file a petition with the NLRB to hold a union vote. The petition needs to indicate at least 30% union support among the workforce before an official vote for a union can be held.

The union push comes on the heels of a similar effort in the Hadley, Massachusetts location. It’s part of a local push for unions in the Bay State. For example, the recent union win at City Feed in Jamaica Plain. At the national level, we’re seeing a push for unions at the ground level of the workforces of corporate America. Amazon, REI, Starbucks, Chipotle, Apple, and more.

We’ll update details as available.

Support Trader Joe’s United.

Say hi to Trader Joe’s United and More Perfect Union.
