Paper Lady: “To The Moon”
Not a country band, but damn if Paper Lady don’t have that country drawl on our highlighted track. Not a vocal drawl. More like a percussive drawl that stretches the time signature and floats it like a leaf on a lazy river. Or maybe we’re just hearing a pedal steel, or a fine slide guitar, and getting immediately transported to a more southern climate. Tune in elsewhere on Paper Lady’s EP Traveling Exploding Star if you want more straightforward indie rock. On “To The Moon” it’s country with style.
