bikethrasher: “Vice Versa”

Heavy pop vibrations from neu grunge rawkers bikethrasher. Shades of Beach Boys?

Not that you’re going to feel like hitting the beach after seeing the scene of devastation that serves as the album cover. It’s Mass & Cass! A beehive of drug addiction and homelessness.

For those who live in the Beyond Regions outside Boston, Mass & Cass is an intersection that crystallizes our local lack of political imagination and will to act when it comes to easing homelessness. Sure, nobody wants people at the encampment to freeze in winter. “Clear ‘em out!” But when it comes to committing the resources for long term and humane solutions? Crickets.

How about more public housing, a universal basic income, and free healthcare? Tax the billionaires instead of the schlummos earning peanuts and we could afford all of the above and more.

If the multi-national elite threaten to decamp to a tax-free floating cyber island, serviced by hairless Elon Musk clones, let them. It’s an empty threat because these social parasites know it’s people that make their profits, not the “job creators.” Gross!
