A Day Without Love: “Good Friends Are Hard To Find”
Junk indie folk, but like Beat Happening said, God don’t make no junk. Kitchen sink lofi production that steers like beloved jalopy on our highlighted track “Good Friends Are Hard To Find.” Off A Stranger That You Met Before by A Day Without Love. The banjo fretwork keeps this sound firmly within the folk register, but the song blossoms in the direction of pop balladeering by the time the tagline takes its second or third walk down the runway. Shades of Justin Arena’s “Literal Jazz.” Extra points for a sweet vocal duet throughout.
