Marlowe: “Heist”

Fleet rhymes, double time. Marlowe lets loose over funk samples on our highlighted track “Heist”.

The North Carolina rapper Solemn Brigham handles the vocals while L’Orange takes care of the production. Shades of Vince Staples’ flow. The vibe is tense, as the rapper recounts a minor caper in the key of bravado. But the protagonist of the story hardly seems invested in his crimes as his focus shifts away from the getaway, towards what’s next.

What is next? “I just came back for the party.” Let the party begin.
